蘇孟鴻善於挪用中國傳統的花鳥元素，將其改造為其一貫俗艷、浮誇、倏忽即逝的視覺語言，再與現代印刷技術結合，創造出風格獨具的拼貼畫。本書收錄蘇孟鴻自2004年至2008年間作品，包含知名的《開到荼靡》三系列及《奇淫合歡散》，而除了藝評，本書開頭也收錄了一篇由蘇孟鴻所寫，十分值得玩味的創作論述，極具收藏價值。

SU Meng-Hung, exceled in appropriating Chinese traditional bird-and-flower paintings, transforms images with his flashy, resplendent, transient visual impression. Combining hand drawing and modern printing techniques, SU creates his stylistic collages.
